about me

Daniel Weaver

I have a diploma in Transactional Analysis counselling and am in advanced clinical training as defined by the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I adhere to their ethical guidelines and use professional supervision to complement and support my client work.

My training is Integrative in style and is influenced by psychodrama, gestalt and art therapies.

I work with adults, couples, young people and children.

Collaboration

Before training in psychotherapy I spent many years working as a creative musician/artist, composing, performing and teaching music, art and theatre. I performed solo and with contemporary dance shows across Europe, Russia and the Middle East. I also co-ordinated and delivered creative projects in UK schools and have worked extensively with adults with learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Conditions; Through these experiences I was drawn towards other ways of communicating and developing expressive relationships. This lead to a second career as a counsellor and psychotherapist, working one to one and with groups. I continue to explore non-verbal communication and creativity but in a therapeutic context. I am involved with a couple of mens groups; encouraging open communication, self-awareness and healing conversations.

These experiences inform the way I work today as a comprehensive base for working collaboratively, for searching and exploring, for learning and self-expression, and for valuing your uniqueness and aspirations.
